Is Opal draining my battery?

Opal works with the iOS' Screen Time API to check your app usage all day. It runs in the background, helping you monitor your screen time and control access to certain apps. Opal was simultaneously designed to use very little battery. In fact, it usually uses only 2-4% of your battery in one day. To see how much battery Opal uses on your phone, follow these easy steps:

  • Open your device Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on Battery
  • Scroll down to see the Battery Usage by App section
  • There, you will see Opal and its battery usage
  • Tap on Show Battery Usage, and you will see Opal's time both on screen and in the background

That's it! If you have any issues with Opal's battery usage, send us a report in the app!
