Share Opal Pro via Family Sharing

If you have purchased an annual or lifetime Opal Pro subscription, you can now share your Opal Pro plan with your family. How to set up Family Sharing is determined by where you subscribed.

Family Sharing for Annual Subscriptions Purchased via the iOS App Store

To share Opal Pro with your family members after you've purchased your annual subscription via the iOS App Store, follow these steps:

  • Exit Opal
  • Go to your iPhone "Settings" > "Family" > "Subscriptions" > "Manage Subscriptions"
  • Select "Share all new subscriptions" or "Change the settings of a specific subscription"
  • If you select "Share all new subscriptions," when you purchase a new subscription that's eligible for sharing, it will be shared with your Family Sharing members automatically
  • If you select "Change the settings of a specific subscription" you may then tap on a subscription, then turn "Share with Family" on or off Share all new subscriptions: Turn on Share with Family. When you purchase a new subscription that’s eligible for sharing, it’s shared with your Family Sharing members by default

Once you've followed those steps, Family Sharing will be available for your annual subscription purchase. To troubleshoot any issues with Family Sharing, please follow the steps here.

Family Sharing for Annual & Lifetime Subscriptions Purchased via Stripe

When you purchase an annual or lifetime subscription via Stripe, our Support Team must manually grant Family Sharing to your family members. To contact Support, please follow these steps:

  • Open the Opal App
  • Tap on your Opal "Settings" (accessible from the top right corner of your "Profile" tab)
  • Tap on "Contact Us"
  • Tap on the Mail icon in the top right corner

When you contact our Support team, please provide the email or phone number your annual or lifetime subscription was purchased with. Please also provide the email or phone number your family member(s) signed up for their Opal account with. They can determine the exact phone number or email they've signed up via by opening the Opal app, and tapping on the "Profile" tab, then tapping on "Settings" (accessible from the top right corner). If you can pass along the information they've inputted there to our Support Team, we can ensure they have access to your subscription.

Please note that Family Sharing is only available for Annual Pro subscribers who bought their subscription on the iOS App Store, or Annual or Lifetime subscribers who purchased via Stripe. If you purchased a weekly or monthly subscription, Family Sharing will not be available.
