What is App Uninstall Protection

To assist with your screen time goals, Opal has an "App Uninstall Protection" feature that prevents you from uninstalling Opal or any other apps while a Session is active (and this feature is available to all Gems). When enabled, you are unable to uninstall ANY app from your phone unless you cancel your existing Opal Session first. If you delete apps while in an active Session, you will only be able to hide them from your home screen.

How to enable "App Uninstall Protection"

To enable "App Uninstall Protection," take the following steps:

Open the Opal app
Tap on Settings (accessible from the top right corner of your "Profile" tab)
Toggle on "App Uninstall Protection"

Please note that Uninstall Protection will be on by default when you are in a "Deep Focus" Session. Additionally, you will be unable to disable "App Uninstall Protection" when you are in a "Deep Focus" Session.
