How to cancel my subscription

There are two ways to cancel your subscription, depending on how you signed up.

If you signed up in the Opal mobile app, you can cancel it directly on the App Store. If you signed up on Opal’s website, you can cancel it from the link in the subscription email you received.

NOTE: Uninstalling the Opal app from your device will NOT automatically cancel your subscription! Please follow the appropriate steps to avoid any unwanted charges.

We're sorry that Opal did not work out for you, but we want to make sure it's easy to you to leave! If you are experiencing any bugs or otherwise confusing behaviour from Opal, please contact the Support team using the contact options in the Opal app, and we'll help you sort out the issue!

Cancelling an App Store subscription

Here are the steps to cancel your Opal iOS subscription:

  1. Open your iPhone settings
  2. Tap on your name
  3. Tap Subscription
  4. Tap Opal from the list
  5. Tap Cancel My Subscription

That's it!

Please note that it may take up to a day for Apple to process cancellations. Please note: Opal does not have control over subscription cancellations, they are handled through Apple directly.

Refund Information

Opal does not collect your credit card information when you purchase through the App Store, so we are unable to provide refunds. If you feel as though you need a refund, please contact the App Store directly to request one.

Cancelling a Web (Stripe) subscription

If you purchased an Opal subscription through website you can manage your subscription anytime by visiting your billing dashboard. Simply use the same email you used to purchase your subscription to log in.

How to find my sign in with Apple email (Apple Relay)

If you created an account with Sign with Apple and selected “Hide my Email,” your account may be associated with an email address ending in This relay email address was automatically generated for you by Apple and remains linked to your Apple ID.

There are a few ways that you can confirm your Apple Relay Email address.

NOTE: if you used sign in with apple, you need to input this email to visit your billing dashboard

On your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app, then tap your name to view your Apple ID settings.
  2. Tap Password & Security.
  3. Tap Apps Using Your Apple ID.
  4. Tap Opal
  5. The Apple Relay Email will be displayed under This App Received:.

On the web:

  1. Sign in to
  2. Go to the Security section. Under Sign in with Apple, select Manage apps & websites.
  3. Select Manage.
  4. Click Opal
  5. The Sign in with Apple settings will be summarized in this window. You will see your Relay Email under "Hide My Email".
