We're sorry to see you go! If you're attempting to delete Opal because you want to stop an ongoing Session, we'd instead encourage you to cancel the Session using the instructions here. If you are deleting the app because there's something going wrong, you can troubleshoot via our Help Center here. Please let us know what's going wrong using the instructions here.
If you still prefer to delete Opal, you must first cancel any ongoing Session. If you do not take these steps and cancel the Session first, Opal will be moved to your library and will continue blocking your apps. To cancel a Session, follow these steps:

Please note: If you are currently in a "Deep Focus" Session, "App Lock," or "Hard Limit" Session, you can cancel the Session using the instructions here. You MUSTย cancel your Session before deleting Opal or the Opal app will moved to your library and will continue blocking your apps. Also note that deleting your account is permanent and irreversible.
If you're using Opal without having signed up for an account, your deletion instructions will be slightly different! To delete your account, please follow these steps:
If you'd prefer to simply delete the app and your data, you can do so by long pressing on the Opal app from your device's home screen and tapping "Remove App". Please note that if you haven't previously made an account, and because all information about your account remains on your device regardless, that will delete the app and any information on it.
